This shows the distribution of the 186 cases (i.e., excluding missing cases) over the four problem stage categories, with a small number of people indicating that they saw the stage they were is as falling between the specified stages.
Our conclusion is that the problem-solving stage process is intelligible to people and that they can fairly readily select the stage they are in.
The graph also shows that the great majority of people were in either the problem definition or the problem resolution stage.
